Turbine, Inc. celebrated the 2nd anniversary of Lord of the Rings Online. They offer special limited-time to convince absentee players and to tempt new ones. For Lord of the Rings Online players, is $15 a month too much for an MMORPG? How about $10 a month? That is $120 a year. Not bad for the MMOs-are-killing-PC-game-diversity crowd, that’s pretty convincing.Well, if you sign up from April 24 to June 30 Turbine will allow you choose any multi-month plan (i.e. 90 days or longer) and fasten the $10 monthly fee as long as you keep on playing around. Is that indefinite? Yes it is. If you prefer that, there will be no limit.
During the celebration of Turbine’s anniversary, they set game monsters to slump extraordinary items after the battles. These items can be exchanged with special gift boxes. This serves as a reward, for every in-game item, players will be given HumanElfHobbitDwarf. That’s an extra animation! There’s more! Turbine will let the returning players play an old character for FREE from April 24 to April 30. To boost the pot, an additional 25% experience point bonus will be given for the free period's duration which will include rest XP. To all the avid fans of Lord of the Rings Online, just stick with the finale of anniversary promotion because on June 30 you will get a Writ of Passage that bangs 20% off stable masters (i.e. travel by horse) all over Middle-earth. Jeffrey Steefel, Lord of the Rings Online Executive Producer said that it’s been another far-fetched year for LOTRO and Turbine. For them, being named as MMO of the Year and Best Expansion of 2008 together with the devastatingly positive reaction to the game from their fans is a world’s premier online entertainment occurrences. Their anniversary celebration is one way to thank the players for their wonderful support. Special subscription options are included to let their past and present players enjoy everything that is special about Middle-earth. A fan of MMO said: That sounds good to me. I started playing with LOTRO's Shadows of Angmar (i.e. the original) late last year. Then I got unfocused when a game's imaginary limits advance to thousands of play hours. I recently change my preference on the new Moria expansion that started last November. I'm still a poor level 17 Rune-Keeper but while I'm still beating just about in Eriador west of the Shire and Bree-land, I have an aim to focus on Eregion and the famous Hollin Gate before dropping suicidally into the dark deep. Let us grab our packs, ponies, and pouches of pipe-weed and give a superior blaze to LOTRO. Let’s celebrate for Turbine because after Ultima Online, Everquest, Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, and Warhammer Online, I'm sure the MMO model will strike them all!!! [via] |
