Learn Elementary Mathematics easily using ROSE Online

The developer of Ragnarok Online, Korea-based Gravity had announced that their own developed MMORPG ROSE Online is currently being useful in American elementary schools' math education. This became possible with the partnership of Gravity Interactive, the legal entity of Gravity in USA, and JungHyun Wee, an exchange professor from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) and head of Korea Cultural Operation & Research Institute he developed the program in 2003.
La Ballona Elementary School in Culver City, California, USA, is the first school that makes use of the program. Glearning software in ROSE Online has been integrated in the math curriculum of grade 5 students since Sept. 27. The module includes related courses for 5 weeks (2 hours every day). Now students will learn and enjoy their math subject. The Board of Education in Culver City commended the Glearning software. Yoshinori Kitamura, CEO of Gravity Interactive, said that they're delighted to see students enjoy their study. This also reflects the advantage of online games to children. ROSE Online had been used in Korea for 3 years. There are 44 countries which is enjoying the game including Japan and other countries located in North America and Europe. [via news.mmosite.com] |
