The developers of MMORPG sometimes feel slothful when designing quests. A quest in a MMORPG involves role playing. In MMORPGs, the kill quests are superb disturbance from mindless grinding. Ninety five percent of MMORPGs have boring quests. Examples of those are Runes of Magic, Fiesta Online and WindSlayer. Delivery and kill quests are not the major problems, but developers should not apply these kinds of quests. MapleStory has the generic go kill X amount of Y monsters and fed ex like quests.
The other types of quests made the game more pleasurable. A lot of distinct quests for games like MapleStory and Dragonica Online move up questing to the next level. A boat fill with plat forming quests can be found in MapleStory. This requires players to make it from one end of the screen to the other by getting away from obstacles. This feature is the same with stages in Super Mario. [via fastcompany.com] |
