Gala-Net brought Aika to North America. It is a free-to-play Korean MMORPG. It features player-versus player combat ranging from prison groups of as little as 6 players to huge wars with 1,000 players on each side. Combat can accumulate to thousands. The World of Warcraft is a type of MMORPG that enjoyed its fame in the North America. But Asia has headed the MMORPGs market with a wide range of games and virtual world.
Via its gPotato site, Gala-net lead the promotion of bringing free-to-play online games to western markets. They already stated plans for the beginning of Korean fantasy MMORPG Aika to the North American market. Hanbitsoft published Aika in South Korea. Kee Young Kim, Hanbitsoft CEO, said We are pleased to work with a knowledgeable publisher like Gala-Net, Inc. It proved track-record of victorious marketing of MMORPGs in North America. Hanbitsoft is positive that they will make a lot of gamers excited about Aika. The story of Aika started in Alkan continent where an individual can fight against a devel called Zelka. In this game, characters begin as children. When they grow, they learn how to obtain new characteristics and abilities until it ultimately becomes an adult. Players can also raise their own sprite (i.e. pet in other MMORPGS). They are now able to expand their own personalities and assist the players on their mission. Aika will also offer the following: - in-game voiceovers
- stunning graphics
- micro-transactions and
- in-game currency.
The launch date of Aika is still indefinite. [via] |
